Backstory: Top Dogs was designed especially for Spring Creek NeedleArt by Sharon Lyon. The dogs are based on a photo of pointers, Trooper & Sweet Pea, taken by her brother. Her brother trains and trials sporting dogs. Sharon wanted to feature the dogs on a traditional quilt pattern, in this case, clamshells. The clamshells depict the sky and foliage behind the dogs.
